Red Hawk Resort Casino continues its live music series this weekend  with a returning favorite back to open the weekend and a new face with a decorated musical background taking the stage. Friday night, it’s the Sons of Rock on stage, followed by Patton Leatha on Saturday

Hailing from Reno, Nevada, the Sons of Rock and Roll band is a dynamic band that brings the essence of classic rock from the 70s, 80s, and 90s to life on stage. With their energetic performances and passionate renditions of well-known classics, they guarantee an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages. Saturday night, Patton Leatha makes its Red Hawk stage debut. Led by Duane Patton, Patton Leatha is known for its sultry slow jams, to turning up the funk, they do it all. Playing music from the Motown era, R&B, old-school hits and even current top 40 they will certainly entertain.

At age 11 Duane was signed to CBS Records along with the Bay Area’s Unsung Group, “The Together Band”. At the same time,he was invited to perform at the CBS Convention Showcase with artists such as EWF, Barbara Streisand, Journey, and other CBS recording artists.

Under CBS records, Patton had the opportunity to be produced by Henry Crosby, (one of the producers of The Jackson 5’s ABC album). During the CBS audition, Clive Davis was one of the board members, who encouraged CBS to sign “The Together Band”.

In addition to CBS RECORDS, Patton was signed with HDH Records,, (Holland Dozier Holland), as an artist, songwriter, and producer.

Another great accomplishment, was Patton receiving a platinum album as one of the vocalists on Too Short’s “Short Dog In The House” for the song, “The Ghetto”.

Patton’s musical journey continues while performing with his band, “Patton Leatha Band” at major casinos including, MGM Grand, Caesar’s Palace, Bellagio, Muckleshoot, Peppermill, El Dorado, Circus Circus, Graton, Red Hawk, Cache Creek, Thunder Valley, Twin Pines, along with a host of others.

Patton Leatha performs Saturday from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. for those dancing night owls.

There is no cover charge for live music at the Red Hawk Casino stage bar. Seating in the concert area is first come first serve for all events.
