The magic of one of Hollywood’s most beloved romantic stories arrives in Folsom this weekend as Pretty Woman: The Musical takes the stage at the Harris Center for the Arts. Running from March 7-9, the hit Broadway production promises to sweep audiences off their feet with its high-energy performances, dazzling choreography, and a nostalgic love story that still resonates today.
Based on the iconic 1990 film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman: The Musical brings the beloved characters to life with a fresh theatrical twist. The show features an original score by Grammy® winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, best known for hits like Summer of ’69 and Heaven. Under the direction of two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), the production combines stunning visuals, dynamic performances, and a soundtrack that will have audiences singing along.
Fans of the film will find plenty to love, from the timeless romance between Vivian and Edward to the show’s electrifying staging. The production also pays homage to its cinematic roots with the inclusion of Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s classic hit Oh, Pretty Woman, a song that helped define the original movie’s success.
With five performances scheduled—including evening shows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as matinees at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday—the Harris Center is bracing for a packed house.
Tickets have been selling fast, and Friday and Saturday performances are nearly sold out. However, as of this writing, seats are still available for Sunday’s performance. Tickets can be purchased through the Harris Center Box Office at (916) 608-6888 or online at HarrisCenter.net.
