FOLSOM – El Dorado Musical Theatre is diving under the sea and bringing a wave of Disney magic to the stage in Folsom as it presents The Little Mermaid at the Harris Center from this Thursday, March 21 and continuing with additional shows through March 30. With dazzling costumes, lively choreography, and a cast of talented young performers, this beloved tale of love, sacrifice, and adventure is set to make a splash with audiences of all ages.

Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story and Disney’s beloved animated film, The Little Mermaid follows Ariel, a curious and determined young mermaid who dreams of leaving her ocean home to explore the human world. But when she makes a dangerous bargain with the wicked sea witch Ursula, Ariel soon realizes that following her heart comes with unexpected challenges.

With the help of her colorful companions—Flounder, Scuttle, and Sebastian—she must find a way to restore balance under the sea before it’s too late. Featuring an unforgettable score by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a book by Doug Wright, the production includes iconic songs such as Under the SeaKiss the Girl, and Part of Your World.
