The first weekend of June brings a fiery fusion of Southern rock and blues to the Stage Bar at Red Hawk Resort + Casino, with two powerhouse bands ready to light up the night. American Mile headlines Friday night, while Matt Rainey and the Dippin’ Sauce keep the music rolling on Saturday with a late-night set that’s sure to bring the groove.
American Mile returns Friday night, bringing their signature blend of Southern rock and country swagger. Formed in 2018, the band draws influence from legends like Aerosmith, The Black Crowes, Chris Stapleton, and Tom Petty. Their resume includes performances at Summerfest, the NASCAR Auto Club 400, and Sacramento’s Concert in the Park. They’ve shared bills with country favorites like Lindsey Ell, Tyler Rich, and Colt Ford. Their debut album The Longest Road, released in 2020, features production from Grammy-nominated talents Bruce Witkin and Keith Nelson. Showtime is 8 p.m. to midnight.
The live entertainment continues Saturday with Sacramento-based Matt Rainey and the Dippin’ Sauce. Two-time winners of the Sacramento Area Music Awards for Blues Band of the Year and 2018 quarterfinalists in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Rainey and his band mix blues, rock, Americana, and jam-band energy into a dynamic show that’s both powerful and soulful.

They’ve played alongside jam-scene legends like Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), John Kadlecik (Furthur), Mark Karan (RatDog), Keller Williams, and Moe. Showtime is 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Red Hawk management informed Folsom Times Thursday that the originally scheduled Friday night act, Moonshine Crazy, has been replaced with American Mile.
As always, there is no cover charge for Stage Bar performances, and seating is first come, first served. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the summer weekend with music, drinks, and excitement.
