FOLSOM — The 2025 Summer Concert Twilight Series in Historic Folsom draws to a close this Thursday night, and it’s going out with a boot-stomping bang. Headlining the final show of the 13-week series is none other than the Ariel Jean Band, a Sacramento-based sister trio whose mix of modern country, heartfelt songwriting, and captivating three-part harmonies has made them a regional favorite.

Composed of sisters Ariel Jean, Aubrey Anne, and Amber Joy, the Ariel Jean Band has been performing together since 2016. Their blend of original material and country crowd-pleasers—delivered with soaring vocals and a magnetic stage presence—has earned them spots on major festival lineups and support slots for some of the biggest names in the business, including Tim McGraw, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, and Midland.

Ariel Jean leads the group with powerful vocals and acoustic guitar, drawing on life experiences and a lifelong love of country music. Her earliest songs were inspired by road trips along Pacific coast highways, writing tracks like “Free Country Girl” that still resonate in her music today. From church choirs to campfire harmonies to Nashville’s famed Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, her journey as a singer-songwriter is steeped in passion, perseverance, and purpose.

“This dream is something that has always been with me from the very beginning,” Jean recently shared. “I have to be around music or playing it or I feel like I’m not fulfilling my destiny.”

This year, Ariel has released a new trio of singles—“Honky Tonk Queen,” “Rocker Girl,” and “On My Way to You”—that reflect her evolving artistry and bold country-rock energy. Each track was recorded in Nashville alongside top-tier session players whose resumes include Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Luke Combs. The result: a sound that’s fresh, polished, and authentic.

Her sisters bring equally compelling harmonies and energy to the stage, making every performance a high-impact celebration of family, dreams, and the road to stardom. Their viral hit “Coors Light Country Girl” and the heartfelt ballad “Here” have further amplified their reach, while their loyal fanbase continues to fuel their momentum.

Thursday night’s free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Zittel Family Amphitheater, located in the heart of Historic Folsom. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs, enjoy dinner from local restaurants or food trucks, and celebrate the final summer sunset concert of the year with a night of music and community.

Young Frankenstein takes amphitheater stage Saturday

And the entertainment doesn’t end there. On Saturday, August 30, the same Zittel Family Amphitheater stage will be transformed into a whimsical outdoor theater for Young Frankenstein Under the Stars, presented by Sutter Street Theatre.

The one-night-only performance of Mel Brooks’ hit musical comedy promises a hilarious evening of live theatre under the stars—but it’s also more than just entertainment. The production serves as a fundraiser for Santa’s Christmas Cottage, Historic Folsom’s cherished holiday attraction that brings magic and joy to families throughout the winter season. All net proceeds from the event directly support the operation and maintenance of the Cottage.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Seating is general admission, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, low-back lawn chairs, and warm layers for a festive night under the stars. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children 10 and under, and can be purchased in advance at https://historicfolsom.org/event/the-mel-brooks-musical-young-frankenstein.

Whether it’s toe-tapping country or campy musical theatre, Historic Folsom is closing out August with heart, humor, and plenty of unforgettable performances.
