Powerhouse Entertainment presents a bit of “old school” this Friday night with one of the region’s well known bands that has been entertaining audiences for more more than two decades. Midnight Players are returning to popular pub in Historic Folsom pub this Friday night.
The Midnight Players are an Old School R&B, Funk, Oldies & Latin band based in Sacramento. Originally formed in 1977, current founding members are Rudy Betancourt (Saxophones) and Michael Sellars (Keyboards) remain intact as the group to this day continues to perform to audiences that love to party to the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s dance grooves, according to their music bio.
Established as a household name in the Sacramento music scene – the Midnight Players have been attracting a large dedicated following of audiences to our events. They’ve opened for heavy hitting acts such as WAR, The S.O.S. Band, Midnight Star, Tierra, Brenton Wood, ConFunkShun, The Bar Kays, Dazz Band, Club Nouveau, Zapp, Heatwave, Rose Royce, Lakeside, and many others, to entertaining guests at concerts, weddings, and birthday parties.
The Midnight Players continue to hit the stage today with old school hits from artists like Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Chaka Khan, GQ, Slave, Madonna, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Cameo, The Gap Band, Malo,…. and many more. Equipped with a solid fan base, and over 30 years of tradition.
