Hit stage comedy inspired by the iconic board game and cult-classic film runs March 5–8 in Folsom

Murder, mystery and rapid-fire comedy are headed to the stage in Folsom as Harris Center for the Artspresents CLUE, the uproarious theatrical adaptation of the beloved board game and cult-classic film, from March 5 through March 8. Equal parts whodunit and laugh-out-loud farce, the national touring production invites audiences into a fast-paced night of intrigue at Boddy Manor, where secrets abound, bodies pile up and nothing — and no one — is quite what it seems.

Based on the classic Hasbro board game and the fan-favorite 1985 film, CLUE drops six mysterious guests into a stormy evening of blackmail, murder and mounting chaos. As accusations fly and alliances shift, the audience is pulled into the action to solve the mystery of who killed Mr. Boddy, with what weapon and in which room — the kind of interactive entertainment that blends comedy, suspense and pure theatrical fun.

The touring cast features Sarah Mackenzie Baron as the deadpan Mrs. White, Adam Brett as the quick-witted butler Wadsworth, Camille Capers as the sultry Miss Scarlet, Nate Curlott as the blustering Colonel Mustard and Joseph Dalfonso as the ill-fated Mr. Boddy. They are joined by TJ Lamando as Mr. Green, Madeline Raube as the elegant Mrs. Peacock, AT Sanders as The Cook, Zoie Tannous as Yvette, Kebron Woodfin as the Cop and Kyle Yampiro as Professor Plum. The production’s understudies include Thomas Netter, Allison Masulis, Taylor Tveten and Layne Roate.

Directed by Broadway veteran Casey Hushion — whose credits include Mean GirlsThe Prom and Aladdin — the production adds theatrical flair to the beloved story with original music by Michael Holland. Playwright Sandy Rustin adapted Jonathan Lynn’s screenplay for the stage, with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price, turning the classic mystery into a high-energy farce that echoes both board game and film roots.

The creative team also includes scenic designer Lee Savage, costume designer Jen Caprio, lighting designer Ryan J. O’Gara and sound designer Jeff Human. Hair, wig and makeup design is by J. Jared Janas, with fight choreography by Robert Westley. Associate direction is by Saki Kawamura, and the stage management team is led by Jenna Wadleigh, with company manager Laurence Christopher.

CLUE traces its roots back to the 1949 launch of the original Cluedo board game. Now one of the most recognizable games in the world, the franchise has sold more than 200 million copies worldwide and inspired generations of sleuths. The 1985 Paramount Pictures remake of the game found a passionate cult following, and the stage adaptation continues that tradition with lively ensemble performance and plenty of theatrical spectacle.

The production keeps the spirit of the source material alive with its frenzied pacing, sharp physical comedy and inventive staging that evokes multiple rooms of Boddy Manor and even alternate endings — just like the board game and film.

The Second North American tour of CLUE is produced by Work Light Productions and LME Productions. Originally produced at the Bucks County Playhouse and developed by the Cleveland Playhouse, the show has delighted audiences nationwide with its comic thrills and theatrical energy.

Tickets for CLUE at the Harris Center for the Arts are on sale now, with performances scheduled March 5 through March 8. Tickets and additional details are available HERE.
