Friday night will mark the second week of Music in the Piazza at Folsom’s Palladio. Taking the stage at this week’s outdoor concert venue in the middle of the city’s premier shopping and dining destination will be talented jazz artist Peter Morgan.

Friday’s concert is free to attend and starts up at 7:30. The music continues for two entertaining hours, ending at 9:30 and providing plenty of opportunities before and after the show to check out the many great stores, restaurants, destinations and more that the Palladio has to offer. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to be comfortable and have a great view of the entertainment for the series sponsored by Elliott Homes, AKT Development and Cummings Properties each Friday

Morgan is known for composing and performing unique original contemporary jazz instrumentals delivered in a coastal smooth jazz style, spiced a dash of blues that is Morgan’s signature sound. According to his music bio, the talented artist has produced all six of his albums showcasing his skills on guitar, harmonica, bass, keyboards, lap steel, dobro, pedal steel, pan flute, ukulele, percussion and vocals.

Morgan has performed alongside some of the biggest names in jazz including Fattburger, Michael McDonald, trumpeter Chris Botti and keyboardist Phillipe Saisse to name a few. Peter has performed numerous times at the Sacramento Jazz festival, the world’s largest jazz festival.

In addition to the big names he has shared the stage with, Morgan has an impressive musical resume. Some of the highlights include receiving national exposure as the music director for a number of public television specials including The Boston Computer Museum’s Computer Bowl and The Software Publishers Associations 10th annual Excellence in Software Codie Awards. Both broadcast on PBS’ Computer Chronicles. He also recently performed on a song that was used on the WB Network’s hit show Hart of Dixie.

The Palladio wants to remind all its guests to be sure and visit the Beer & Wine Garden hosted by Barnes & Noble Kitchen with yummy small plates and beers on tap for each of the concert events during the season.
