Sutter Street Theatre is set to host the high-energy musical “Rock of Ages: Teen Edition,” with performances running from June 15 to July 14. Directed by Kate Rolls, with music direction by Christine Irish and choreography by Keira and Devin LePage, this jukebox musical brings the essence of 1987’s Sunset Strip to life every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Set in the seedy yet vibrant heart of West Hollywood, the Bourbon Room—a club run by laid-back former rock impresario Dennis Dupree and his mischievous assistant Lonny—becomes the backdrop for an aspiring actress, Sherrie Christian, and a busboy with rock star dreams, Drew. Their budding romance faces a major challenge when the Mayor, influenced by scheming real estate developers, plans to demolish the iconic club and the entire gritty Sunset Strip.

“Rock of Ages: Teen Edition” pays homage to classic rock, featuring ‘80s anthems such as “We Built This City,” “I Wanna Rock,” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The show is rated PG and promises a spirited celebration of rock and roll’s raw energy and glamorous grit.

Tickets for “Rock of Ages: Teen Edition” can be reserved at www.SutterStreetTheatre.com or by calling the box office at (916) 353-1001.
