The City of Folsom’s annual Summer of Music Series kicks off this Friday night. Presented by the Folsom Parks and Recreation District each year, the Summer of Music is a four-night series spanning June and July that takes to the gazebo stage at Folsom City Lions Park, bringing area residents another family friendly free option to get outside and enjoy live music.
Friday’s series opener will welcome Remedy to the gazebo stage. Based out of the Sacramento area, Remedy7 features a unique mix of classic rock, pop, country, blues, and originals. The band prides itself with a focus on its vocals and harmonies and has been playing together for ten years.
Folsom City Park, also known as Lions Park, is located near city hall and next to the Folsom Public Library at 411 Stafford Street in Folsom. The concerts take place from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on their scheduled nights. At all of the Summer of Music concerts the motto is come for the music but stay for the fun. This Friday, food trucks and vendors that are scheduled to serve will include Chick-Fil-A of Folsom, Zintzuni Cocina Mexicana and Yaya’s Italian Ice, according the latest update from the City of Folsom Parks and Recreation Department.
After Remedy 7 kicks off the series this Friday with their classic rock sound, Peter Morgan will bring his beloved jazz to the park on June 28 followed by the R&B of Innersoul on July 12 and the rock band Modern Relics on July 26.
I addition to the live music, a number of well-known area food trucks will be on site with plenty of tasty eats and sweets. Pumping Irony will hit the stage starting at 7and will continue to 9 p.m.
