After a week off to allow for the holiday and the Folsom Pro Rodeo, live music returns Friday in the Piazza at Folsom’s Palladio. Taking the stage at this week’s outdoor concert venue in the middle of the city’s premier shopping and dining destination will be Hey Monkey, a popular locally based group that makes their Palladio debut.
Hey Monkey is a classic rock band with a twist. The band presents classic tunes from the 70’s, 80’s and the 90’s. According to their music bio, any given night you might hear them play Radar Love, Money for Nothing, the Time Warp, Rebel Yell, Footloose or even a little Do Wah Diddy.
“Overall we try to convey a light-hearted approach to our love for fun music with energy and enthusiasm,” the band cites. They come to Palladio after a recent standing room only turnout at Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale recently.
Friday’s concert is free to attend and starts up at 7:30. The music continues for two entertaining hours, ending at 9:30 and providing plenty of opportunities before and after the show to check out the many great stores, restaurants, destinations and more that the Palladio has to offer. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to be comfortable and have a great view of the entertainment for the series sponsored by Elliott Homes, AKT Development and Cummings Properties each Friday
