PBS KVIE Art Auction Broadcasts September 27 – 29

Returning for its 43rd year, the PBS KVIE Art Auction is again spotlighting the creative talents of artists across Northern California in its annual arts showcase, competition and auction. Among those recognized, was Folsom artist Carol Quinn, who has won a Juror Award in the Landscape category. Quinn’s winning piece, “Feather River Evening,” will be up for bid in the live, three-day auction event alongside over 270 other works of art.

“It’s another great year of luminous choices for our awards jurors to contend with,” said PBS KVIE Art Curator Jill Estroff. “In every category, artists submitted striking work to the PBS KVIE Art Auction, and we’re proud to showcase them in the 2024 collection.”

Broadcast by KVIE Channel 6, this year’s Art Auction airs on Friday, Sept. 27 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 from noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The auction will also be livestreamed online at kvie.org/artauction. During the live event, viewers can bid on their favorite artworks by telephone.

The art featured in this year’s curated collection is on view to the public until Sept. 25 at PBS KVIE. Those interested in viewing or bidding on the art before the live auction are welcome Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and they can place their bids online or in-person.

Images and information on each artwork up for bid, as well as a complete list of featured artists, can be found at kvie.org/artauction.

Art Auction proceeds will help support PBS KVIE’s local productions and community outreach services. The 2024 auction is sponsored by Bank of Marin, Krogh & Decker LLP, Murphy Austin, Rescue Dog Wines, Mansour’s Oriental Rug Gallery and Weintraub Tobin.
