As it continues to expand on its popular weekend entertainment series, Willamette Wineworks is bringing Wednesday night live music to its Historic Folsom destination this week with another segment of its monthly Songwriter Series. This week, longtime Folsom resident and Nashville recording artist Cynthia Renee will be performing starting at 5:30 p.m.
Renee, a singer-songwriter with Twelve-Seventeen/SSM Nashville Records, has been making waves in the country music scene with her growing catalog of original songs. Two of her tracks, “Working on a Hangover” and “Good on Me,” have garnered radio play nationwide and climbed into the top 100 on the Music Row Country Charts.
Her latest release, “Heart for a Hero,” is a heartfelt tribute to first responders and military service members. Renee recently filmed a music video for the song in Nashville, which will soon launch to radio audiences.
Renee has shared the stage with prominent country acts, including Lady A and Maddie & Tae, at KNCI Radio’s Country in the Park. This past summer, she opened for multi-platinum artist Uncle Kracker in Santa Barbara and Broken Bow Records artist Chase Bryant in Reno.
A seasoned performer, Renee has graced stages across California, including the Harris Center for the Arts, major fairs such as the California State Fair and El Dorado County Fair, and numerous casinos and entertainment venues. Earlier this year, she was selected as one of 10 singer-songwriters nationwide to perform in the prestigious “New York Encounter” showcase at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.
