Willamette Wineworks is keeping the tunes alive with its weekly live music series, welcoming a unique acoustic blues duo to the Historic Folsom venue this Saturday evening. Chicken & Dumpling, featuring Charles “Chicken” Oriel on guitar and Julia “Dumpling” Simon on bass, promises an engaging performance from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Known for their authentic delta-style blues, Chicken & Dumpling delivers a heartfelt repertoire that pays homage to legends like Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, and Muddy Waters, alongside the powerful women’s blues of Bessie Smith and Sippie Wallace. Their setlist also includes contemporary hits by artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Eric Clapton, complemented by jazz standards and popular classics.
The intimate setting of Willamette Wineworks, nestled at 824 Sutter Street in the Scott’s Seafood Roundhouse, provides the perfect backdrop for this soulful performance. Renowned for its wine blending and culinary experiences, the venue offers an ideal spot for guests to enjoy a memorable evening of music and wine.
The live music series continues next week with Nashville recording artist Cynthia Renee returning to Willamette Wineworks’ singer-songwriter series on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Don’t miss the chance to savor world-class wine while experiencing top-notch live performances in one of Folsom’s most charming venues.
