Tickets on sale now for event that brings the performances and stories behind your favorite songs to Folsom’s Harris Center for the Arts
FOLSOM, Calif. — The legendary music of Nashville is coming to Folsom with “Nashville Songwriters Live: Performances and Stories of Your Favorite Hit Songs,” a unique celebrity entertainment event set for December 17 at the Harris Center for the Arts. The evening will benefit Hands4Hope – Youth Making A Difference, a local nonprofit and early ticket purchase is suggested for this show that brings a trio of national talent to the Folsom stage.
Featuring renowned songwriters Jeffrey Steele, Mark Mackay, and CJ Solar—who have penned hits for Keith Urban, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, and Morgan Wallen—the event will offer an intimate, acoustic performance. Audiences will hear not only the music but also the stories behind these beloved songs, providing a rare and personal experience.
“Jeffrey Steele and CJ Solar are two of the most talented artists I’ve ever known, and a huge inspiration on my own music,” said Mackay, a California native. “Last year, we had the best time performing together, sharing stories, jamming, and laughing all night. We do this a lot in Nashville, so in a way, last year was our West Coast intro to how powerful this show is, and we can’t wait to do it again. Even better, we’ll be supporting the great work of Hands4Hope.”
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Hands4Hope Education Program at Folsom-area schools, including Folsom Middle, Sutter Middle, Folsom High, and Vista del Lago High, as well as its Community Engagement Program serving organizations like Mercy Creekview, Folsom’s Hope, Twin Lakes Food Bank, and Powerhouse Ministries, Inc.
“We are proud of the 16 years of impact that youth have made across many areas of need within our community,” said Jennifer Bassett, Founder and Executive Director of Hands4Hope. “This exciting fundraiser event will allow us to deepen our work in Folsom while providing a unique and memorable family entertainment experience.”
The evening will also feature performances by Vista del Lago High School’s acclaimed Guitar Nation program. A silent auction—open to attendees and online participants—will offer guitars signed by celebrity artists, a Nashville vacation package, horseback riding experiences, and more, with all proceeds benefiting Hands4Hope.
The event, presented by Designing Dreams Flooring & Remodeling, El Dorado Disposal, Baird Private Wealth Management, Nor-Cal Equipment Rentals, and BrightStart Partners Insurance Services, and is made possible by a number of associate sponsors, begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through the Harris Center box office and website.
