Christmas has come and gone but Folsom’s Powerhouse Pub is still giving the gift of entertainment all year round and it continues with a busy weekend of live music ahead, featuring a collection of returning favorites back on the iconic venue’s stage, along with a blues artist that hasn’t performed here in some time. The regular weekend schedule is just the prelude to a busy week ahead with New Years on the horizon as well. 

The weekend kicks off Friday at 7 p.m. with the Nipper Brothers, a Northern California band celebrating the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Known for their reverent approach to the Grateful Dead’s iconic sound, the Nipper Brothers pay great attention to the vocal harmonies and poetic lyrics that defined the band’s legacy. Later that evening, at 10 p.m., Adam Aldama & The Aces take the stage with Finesse – The Bruno Mars Tribute Show. At 10 p.m. on Saturday, Y2K Live returns to Powerhouse to perform favorite throwback hits from the early 2000s. The weekend concludes Sunday at 3 p.m. with Powerhouse of Blues, starring Tommy Castro. With two DJ rooms spinning everything from house to hip-hop, Big Rob’s Hookah Bar, exclusive drink specials, and an epic midnight balloon drop, this party promises to be unforgettable.
