FOLSOM -El Dorado Musical Theatre’s enchanting production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid is making waves once again as it heads into its final weekend at Folsom’s Harris Center for the Arts. After an opening weekend that left audiences captivated by its dazzling visuals and vibrant performances, the musical returns for its final four shows March 28–30, offering fans one last chance to dive under the sea with Ariel and her unforgettable friends.

From the moment the curtain rose last weekend, audiences were swept into a magical world filled with music, color, and heart. Now, with only a few performances remaining, theatergoers are encouraged to experience the magic before it swims away for good. El Dorado Musical Theatre’s Main Stage production features a dynamic cast of performers ages 10–20, delivering Broadway-caliber energy and storytelling that’s delighted families and Disney fans alike.

Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale and Disney’s iconic animated film, The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, a spirited mermaid who longs to explore the human world above. When she makes a fateful deal with the cunning sea witch Ursula, Ariel trades her voice for a chance to walk on land and win the heart of Prince Eric. With help from her loyal companions—Flounder, Scuttle, and Sebastian—Ariel must navigate love, loss, and self-discovery in this heartwarming journey filled with laughter and song.

Featuring the award-winning music of Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a book by Doug Wright, the show brings to life fan-favorite songs like Under the SeaKiss the Girl, and Part of Your World in a production that’s as visually striking as it is musically uplifting.

Directed by Debbie Wilson, the show also features choreography by Emily Seabourne and assistant choreographer Kara Nakano, vocal direction by Jennifer Wittmayer, and imaginative costumes designed by Karen McConnell. Producer Jena Larsen leads the team that’s brought this underwater fairytale to life with EDMT’s signature style and professionalism.

The final weekend performances will take place Friday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), The Little Mermaid is rated G, making it the perfect outing for the entire family. Tickets are still available through the Harris Center Box Office by calling (916) 608-6888 or visiting the official website.

Don’t miss your last chance to be part of this magical undersea adventure—one that’s already left audiences singing and smiling from the opening number to the final bow.
