The spotlight will be on female talent this weekend as the 2nd Annual Women in Country Music Concert takes center stage at Grand Island Vineyards near the scenic Sacramento Delta this Saturday, May 31, celebrating a powerhouse lineup of local country performers in a showcase presented by Anderson Live Music promotions.
Headlining the evening is Cynthia Renee, a longtime Folsom resident and rising star on the national stage. Signed to a Nashville label, Renee has already made waves with two Top 100 country hits—Working on a Hangover and Good on Me. She’s opened for multi-platinum artist Uncle Kracker and Broken Bow Records’ Chase Bryant, and her momentum continues to build.
Known for her commanding vocals and emotionally rich delivery, Renee recently earned a nomination for a Josie Independent Music Award and will attend the award show at the Grand Ole Opry in November.

Joining Renee on the bill are The Wildwood Roses, a dynamic female trio specializing in vibrant tributes to The Carter Sisters and early country roots music. Since their formation in 2015, the Folsom bases trio has carved out a loyal following for their harmony-rich performances that honor country’s pioneering women.
Also taking the stage is Katie Fry, a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a sound that blends Alt-Country, Pop, and Folk influences. Fry’s self-produced debut EP My California was released in 2021 and showcases her heartfelt songs about love, friendship, and resilience. Fry has performed at numerous music venues in the area, including Gaslight in Historic Folsom and others.

The event promises more than just great music—it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and all things country. Guests can enjoy food available for purchase from Todo Al Grill Chef, craft a custom cowgirl hat with a hat-making vendor, shop for candles, and stop by the photo booth to capture memories from the day.
Each ticket includes a glass of wine or beer, with VIP upgrades offering an exclusive tented space, additional wine, and appetizers. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with live music from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Grand Island Vineyards in Walnut Grove.
Limited table seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, but guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for an evening under the stars. Tickets can be purchased on the event website HERE.
