Country music fans can expect a high-energy party atmosphere this Thursday night at Historic Folsom’s Powerhouse Pub as Rag Tag Band headlines the latest edition of Country Thursdays. Known as the “All Star Party Band,” this versatile group delivers a jukebox-style experience with more than 500 songs in their arsenal—ready to play just about anything, anytime, anywhere.

Kicking off the night at 7:30 p.m. with free line dance lessons, Rag Tag Band takes the stage at 9:00 p.m. to keep the night rolling with their signature, crowd-pleasing variety. Their uncanny ability to adapt to any crowd makes them a favorite across the region, and this Thursday promises to be no exception. Admission is free, and guests must be 21 and over to attend.

Following Free Country Thursday, the week of live music continues early Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with Rock Monsterz, a five-piece powerhouse delivering the most iconic rock anthems of the 1980s. With flawless recreations of hits by Journey, AC/DC, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Heart, and many more, Rock Monsterz promises a nostalgic arena rock experience packed with soaring vocals and electrifying guitar solos. Every note is performed live, capturing the sound and energy of the decade’s biggest bands.

Then at 10:00 p.m., 8 Track Massacre takes over to keep the dance floor moving. Since 2009, this seasoned group of musicians has focused on one mission: every song must be danceable. Their diverse, decade-spanning playlist ensures the crowd keeps singing and dancing from start to finish.

Under the Bus

The Rock Monsterz

Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party gets underway with Under The Bus, a local Folsom band delivering a throwback to 1990s rock. With covers from Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and other alt-rock favorites, this hometown group brings raw energy and grunge-era vibes to the Powerhouse stage.

Stereotype

The party keeps rolling Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. with Stereotype, a high-octane dance band that mixes up hits from the ’80s, ’90s, 2000s, and today. Whether you’re into Madonna, Bruno Mars, or Pink, Stereotype lights up the night with nonstop hits that keep the crowd on their feet well into the early hours.

Sunday at 3:00 p.m., the weekly Powerhouse of Blues series returns in top form with a performance by none other than Chris Cain, a blues legend whose latest album Good Intentions Gone Bad has drawn widespread acclaim. Blending Memphis soul with blues and jazz influences, Cain’s masterful guitar work and smoky vocals have earned praise from icons like B.B. King and Joe Bonamassa. From a childhood spent immersed in the sounds of Ray Charles and Muddy Waters to a decades-long career spanning 15 albums, Cain brings a rich, emotional performance that’s equal parts soulful and electrifying.
