Second-to-last concert in summer series promises guitar-driven hits and high-energy show June 20
The 2025 Palladio Piazza Concert Series is winding down, but the energy is still going strong as Jax Hammer takes the stage this Friday, June 20. The Sacramento-based rock band will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the open-air Piazza at Folsom’s premier shopping and dining destination—bringing two hours of crowd-pleasing classic rock and blues to close out the week in style.
Led by local guitar powerhouse Jack Brizek, Jax Hammer was formed with the vision of creating a band that wasn’t confined to any single genre or time period. The result is a four-man group known for their wide-ranging setlists, from vintage rock legends to modern favorites. Whether it’s The Beatles, The Who, Foo Fighters, Santana, or SRV, Jax Hammer delivers it with grit, soul, and showmanship.
Brizek is joined by keyboardist and co-lead vocalist Kevin Whalen, who brings rich textures and harmonies to the group’s sound. Bassist Carl Borden and drummer Mick Voss hold down the rhythm with tight, driving grooves, giving the band its signature rock-solid backbone. The result is a polished, high-energy show filled with tight vocal harmonies and top-tier musicianship.
Fans can expect hits from artists like the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, George Thorogood, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Peter Frampton, the Gin Blossoms, and many more. It’s the kind of feel-good, guitar-driven music perfect for a summer night in the heart of Folsom.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs for the best seating and come early to enjoy the Palladio’s wide range of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The Beer & Wine Garden hosted by Barnes & Noble Kitchen will be open during the concert with small plates and drinks on tap.
