Historic Folsom’s Powerhouse Pub is kicking off another four-night run of live entertainment this week, starting with the return of Gotcha Country this Thursday, June 17, for the venue’s popular Country Thursday series. The show is part of Powerhouse’s 25th anniversary celebration and promises a night of boot-stomping fun, dancing, and high-energy country hits.

If you’re looking for a fun variety of country music, Gotcha Country brings exactly that—and more. A high-octane offshoot of the Gotcha Covered Music family, the band is rooted in California’s Central Valley and brings nonstop energy to every stage they hit. Their setlist spans the best of country music from the ’90s to now, making them a favorite for fans who enjoy nostalgic throwbacks and today’s biggest chart-toppers.

From modern stars like Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert to country icons like Brooks & Dunn and Shania Twain, Gotcha Country delivers a crowd-pleasing show that keeps the dance floor in motion. Whether you’re into line dancing, two-stepping, or just kicking back with a drink in hand, their dynamic performances offer something for every kind of country fan.

The night starts at 7:30 p.m. with free line dance lessons, followed by Gotcha Country hitting the stage at 9:00 p.m. with their signature mix of songs and stage presence. Thursday kicks off a big line up through the weekend

From throwback funk and 80s anthems to Latin-infused rock and high-octane party jams, this weekend’s live lineup at Powerhouse Pub delivers a musical mix that’s built to move. Historic Folsom’s favorite live music venue keeps the energy flowing with five full-scale performances from Friday through Sunday, each with a style—and a fanbase—all its own.

It starts on Friday, July 18, with the TGIF early show featuring the Gen Xers at 7:00 p.m. Whether it’s Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” or a slow-dance throwback from the roller rink era, the Gen Xers serve up the best of the ‘80s with an all-out party vibe. Known for their nostalgic energy and crowd-pleasing setlists, this is a band built for anyone ready to relive the best years of cassette tapes, neon and shoulder pads.

The momentum keeps going at 10:00 p.m. when Cover Me Badd hits the stage. A staple of the Northern California party scene, the band is known for its dance-ready performances that span decades—from classic grooves to modern radio hits. High energy and polished stage presence keep dance floors packed, making them one of the most sought-after cover bands in the region. Expect big sound, big sing-alongs, and an unforgettable Friday night finale.

Cover Me Badd

The party returns on Saturday, July 19, with the Saturday afternoon dance party led by Los Cochinos at 3:00 p.m. This Latin rock and soul ensemble is known for its richly layered sound that draws comparisons to Santana, El Chicano, and Tower of Power. With a lineup of seasoned musicians and a deep catalog of original songs and beloved covers, Los Cochinos deliver a percussive, horn-driven show that pulses with rhythm and culture. The group features Alfonso Portillo on guitar, saxophonist Ric Alexander of Tony! Toni! Toné!, and a powerhouse Latin percussion section led by Tomas Montano. Their live shows have earned acclaim throughout California and beyond—expect a dance floor in motion from start to finish.

On Saturday night, the always-popular Spazmatics return to Powerhouse for a 10:00 p.m. show that promises one of the most entertaining concert experiences of the summer. Known for their geek-chic aesthetic—taped glasses, suspenders, and all—the Spazmatics are more than a band; they’re a full-on flashback to the golden age of the 1980s. Their origin story, rooted in a tongue-in-cheek high school bet and an unforgettable rendition of “She Blinded Me With Science,” sets the tone for what their shows have become: interactive, theatrical, and endlessly fun.

The Spazmatics

The Spazmatics’ setlist is a time machine of synth-pop, new wave, and MTV-era rock, with spot-on covers of hits by Duran Duran, Devo, A-ha, Thomas Dolby, and more. But what truly sets them apart is their commitment to audience engagement. Shows often include sing-alongs, on-stage antics, and moments where the crowd becomes part of the spectacle. Whether you lived through the decade or just love its unmistakable sound, the Spazmatics deliver a show that captures the quirky, colorful spirit of the ‘80s like no other.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday, July 20, with Powerhouse of Blues featuring the Carmen Ratti Band at 3:00 p.m. A staple of the West Coast blues scene, the band is known for tight musicianship, electric stage presence, and a true-to-form blues sound that resonates with purists and modern fans alike. Whether you’ve seen them on major festival stages or are catching them for the first time in Folsom, Carmen Ratti Band delivers an authentic blues experience powered by soulful vocals, gritty guitar tones, and a sound rooted in tradition but built for today. Learn more at carmenrattiband.com or follow them at @carmenrattiband on social media.
