Golden 1 Center becomes ground zero for big air, big noise, and big thrills August 9–10
The dirt is being hauled in, the engines are being primed, and the roar of horsepower is about to echo through downtown Sacramento. This weekend, the world’s most electrifying motorsport spectacle—Monster Jam—returns to Golden 1 Center with a brand-new, adrenaline-charged format: Freestyle Mania, blending the thunder of monster trucks with the high-flying chaos of freestyle motocross for two days of unforgettable, full-throttle entertainment.
Presented by Spin Master, this reimagined format pairs the iconic power of Monster Jam trucks with the gravity-defying stunts of freestyle motocross riders, delivering a unique fusion of raw power and airborne acrobatics that promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
This weekend’s Sacramento stop is part of the Monster Jam Freestyle Mania Summer Series, following recent shows in Las Vegas and rolling next into Fresno. Sacramento will host four high-octane performances across two days, including exclusive fan experiences before and after each show.
What to expect on Saturday, August 9:
The first show kicks off at 12:00 p.m., with doors opening at 11:00 a.m. Fans who arrive early can enjoy the Monster Jam Trackside pre-show experience, featuring behind-the-scenes content, driver interviews, giveaways, and Opening Ceremonies. A second evening performance will take place at 6:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. and Trackside beginning at the same time.
For those who want even more, the popular Pit Party will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., offering fans the opportunity to meet drivers, snap photos, and get up close to the massive 12,000-pound trucks. A separate Pit Party pass is required in addition to an event ticket.
Sunday, August 10 lineup:
The action continues Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. show. Doors and Trackside open at 12:00 p.m., with the Pit Party scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
After each performance, fans can stick around for the Post-Show Meet & Greet, which begins approximately 15 minutes after the show ends and runs for about 30 minutes. It’s the perfect time to grab autographs and interact with drivers one-on-one before heading home.
While Monster Jam visited Sacramento earlier this year with its traditional arena format in January, this weekend marks the debut of the Freestyle Mania format at Golden 1 Center—bringing monster trucks and FMX riders together for a synchronized storm of dirt-fueled action.
Tickets are available now through authorized platforms, including AXS and SeatGeek, with prices starting around $45. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the best viewing and experience opportunities.
Whether you’re a die-hard motorsports enthusiast or a first-time spectator, Monster Jam Freestyle Mania promises a weekend full of action, noise, and edge-of-your-seat excitement that the whole family can enjoy.
