AWARE to open for California’s premier all-female AC/DC tribute band at Orangevale venue Saturday night

ORANGEVALE—The Boardwalk is set to roar this weekend as California’s premier all-female AC/DC tribute band, Herway to Hell, takes the stage on Saturday, Sept. 6, bringing their no-holds-barred, high-voltage show to Orangevale. Presented by James Elliot Entertainment, the night pairs one of Los Angeles’s fiercest tribute acts with the hard-hitting rock of Modesto’s own AWARE for a full evening of electrifying music.

Herway to Hell has built a reputation for delivering the raw, guitar-driven power and explosive energy that defined AC/DC during both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. These five talented musicians are “too punk for rock, too rock for punk,” and they embrace every ounce of that ferocity in their live performances.

With note-perfect execution and stage presence to match, they reintroduce audiences to the riffs, rhythms, and vocals that made AC/DC one of the most legendary bands in rock history. From the opening chords to the final encore, Herway to Hell lives up to their name, delivering a show that is equal parts homage and spectacle.

AWARE

Sharing the bill is AWARE, a Modesto-based five-piece rock band making waves across Northern California with their fusion of heavy alternative and melodic rock. Known for dual vocalists, dynamic guitar work, and a thunderous rhythm section, AWARE brings an original set packed with thought-provoking lyrics and unrelenting energy. Their songs explore themes of self-discovery and unity, connecting deeply with audiences while keeping the room moving. With a reputation for powerful live shows, AWARE is quickly carving out a name in the local scene as one of the region’s must-see rising bands.

Saturday’s concert begins at 8:00 p.m. at The Boardwalk, located at 9426 Greenback Lane in Orangevale. This event is 21 and over. All ticket sales are final.

Sunday at The Boardwalk: Women’s Valkyrie Theatre Collective Fundraiser

The weekend continues Sunday afternoon with a special fundraiser presented by Alison Gilbreath. Beginning at 3:00 p.m., the Women’s Valkyrie Theatre Collective will host an afternoon of improvisation and music to raise funds that help cover monthly costs and support their ongoing community work. It’s an opportunity for the community to enjoy live entertainment while contributing to a group dedicated to keeping local theater thriving.
