EL DORADO HILLS – The El Dorado Hills Town Center’s Live on the Boulevard summer concert series is set to wrap up in spectacular fashion this Thursday, Sept. 18, as Tainted Love takes the amphitheater stage. Known as one of California’s best 1980s tribute bands, the San Francisco–based group promises a high-energy night that will have the crowd singing and dancing along to the decade’s greatest hits.

For more than two decades, Tainted Love has built a reputation for thrilling audiences nationwide with over-the-top renditions of ’80s anthems. Their shows are a kaleidoscope of pulsing dance beats, fist-pumping rock favorites, and guilty-pleasure sing-alongs, all backed by state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and visuals. With charismatic musicianship, elaborate costumes, and a contagious stage presence, the band delivers more than just a concert—it’s a time-warp experience.

Fans can expect iconic sing-along moments with songs like “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “Footloose,” and many more. From Bon Jovi and Guns N’ Roses to synth-pop staples like Eurythmics and Simple Minds, the seven-piece ensemble seamlessly blends rock edge with pop flair to capture the full spirit of the ’80s.

Formed in 1997, Tainted Love has become a staple at major venues such as San Francisco’s Bimbo’s 365 Club, the Harrah’s South Shore Room at Lake Tahoe, and top clubs and theaters across the country. Their visual aesthetic is as much a part of the show as the music itself—featuring bold hairdos, colorful fashion, and energetic choreography that transports audiences back to the MTV generation.

The performance runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the El Dorado Hills Town Center Amphitheater, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free and seating is first come, first served. Concertgoers can also take advantage of the online waitlist feature by visiting the event page HERE on the day of the show, beginning at noon. Each registration allows up to four guests.

As always, all bags must be clear plastic or smaller than 8x6x1 inches. Outside alcohol, beverages, and coolers are not permitted, but food and drink will be available for purchase inside the amphitheater.

This week’s concert marks the finale of the 2025 Live on the Boulevard season, which has brought thousands of music fans to Town Center for 12 weeks of free outdoor performances, ranging from Motown to Bruno Mars tributes and even a full symphony under the stars.
