FOLSOM — Community and business leaders will gather for Future Folsom on Wednesday, September 24 at Lakeside Folsom, a dynamic morning forum presented by Choose Folsom. The event explores economic, business, and cultural trends shaping the city and region, and tickets are still available for those who wish to attend.
The keynote speaker is Tom Sullivan, the veteran broadcaster and investment professional well known for his work on Fox Business, KFBK, and KCRA. Over the course of his career, Sullivan has built a unique reputation bridging finance and media, offering insights that connect Wall Street to Main Street. He spent decades as a stockbroker and financial manager before moving into broadcasting, where he became one of Sacramento’s most recognized radio and television voices.
His national profile grew as a host on Fox Business, where he analyzed economic policy, markets, and the forces shaping the American economy. Sullivan continues to serve as a trusted commentator on business and politics, bringing a mix of real-world investment experience and sharp media perspective. At Future Folsom, he will provide an in-depth look at where the economy has been, where it’s headed, and how global trends affect businesses and communities across the Sacramento region.
Following his keynote, Sullivan will moderate a distinguished panel of industry leaders from technology, real estate, home building, energy, and healthcare.
Vidhu Shekhar serves as Government Strategy Lead for U.S. State & Local Government in Microsoft’s Worldwide Public Sector. Previously the Interim Business Strategy Leader for Critical Infrastructure, Transportation, and Public Finance, Shekhar is widely recognized for his expertise in digital transformation. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the USC Price School of Public Policy, studied architecture in his native Jamshedpur, India, and is curator of the book “Generative Artificial Intelligence Use Cases in State & Local Government.” His thought leadership has positioned him at the forefront of how government entities can responsibly integrate new technology to better serve the public.
Todd Eschelman is Executive Managing Director for Newmark in Sacramento and Roseville, specializing in office property. With more than 30 years of experience and $1.8 billion in completed transactions, Eschelman represents landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers across Northern California. His client list includes MAXIMUS, NEC Corporation of America, and Alta California Regional Center, reflecting his ability to serve both corporate and institutional partners. In 2024, the Sacramento Association of Commercial Real Estate named him Office Broker of the Year, a recognition of his long-standing success in the industry. Shelby Ryburn is the co-founder of The MORE Real Estate Group (Keller Williams Folsom), where she leads a team of 11 agents serving the Sacramento region. With nearly two decades of experience in residential, multifamily, luxury, and senior community real estate, Ryburn has built a reputation as one of the region’s top producers. She previously held recruiting and leadership roles with a Fortune 100 financial services firm, where she specialized in training and talent development, before transitioning fully into real estate leadership at Keller Williams. Her success has placed her in the top 1% of Keller Williams agents in Northern California, underscoring her impact on the market and her community.
Christopher B. Cady is Northern California Division President for Woodside Homes, bringing nearly 30 years of leadership experience in home building and development. His career includes senior roles at Beazer Homes, Pulte, KB Home, and AV Homes, where he gained expertise in large-scale residential development. At Woodside, Cady oversees all aspects of operations in the region, from community launches and construction to development and sales. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University and is licensed as a real estate broker in California. Joshua Rasin serves as Manager of Advanced Technologies and Technology Acceleration at SMUD, where he leads cutting-edge projects in grid modernization, renewable energy integration, electric transportation, and innovative water heater load management for carbon reduction. Rasin’s work has been nationally recognized for advancing research and technology transfer in clean energy and utility operations, making him a key voice in the transition to a more sustainable power system. Dr. Namrita Gogia is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Mercy Medical Group – Dignity Health. Practicing primary care in Roseville and affiliated with Mercy San Juan Medical Center and Mercy Hospital of Folsom, she has more than a decade of clinical experience since graduating from Creighton University School of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Gogia also serves as Vice Chair of Internal Medicine within Mercy Medical Group, where she helps guide practice standards and medical leadership.
