Cheap Trip, PowerPlay, Wasted Space, 8 Track Massacre, and Delta Wires complete Oct. 3-6 lineup in Historic Folsom
FOLSOM — A full slate of music is on tap this weekend at Powerhouse Pub in Historic Folsom as the city’s premier 21-and-over music venue delivers three days of crowd-moving entertainment from Friday through Sunday. Whether you’re into classic rock tributes, dancefloor anthems, or horn-driven blues, the Sutter Street stage is ready to keep you grooving.
It all kicks off Friday night, Oct. 3, with a double feature of high-energy bands. The early show at 7:00 p.m. features Cheap Trip, a passionate tribute to the timeless hits of Cheap Trick. From “Surrender” to “I Want You to Want Me,” the band delivers all the swagger and power-pop glory of the original act, dressed to impress and ready to rock.
Later that night at 10:00 p.m., the dance floor lights up with PowerPlay, a fan-favorite party band known for its dynamic performances and wide-ranging setlists. Whether it’s rock, pop, funk, or throwback favorites, PowerPlay delivers with full-throttle energy, covering everything from Lady Gaga to Johnny Cash. A staple of Sacramento-area nightlife, the band guarantees a night of non-stop fun.

Saturday, Oct. 4, brings even more variety with two distinct shows. At 3:00 p.m., the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party welcomes Wasted Space to the stage, offering a fun-filled, upbeat show that pairs perfectly with a cold drink and sunshine on the patio. Later that evening, the energy turns electric again as 8 Track Massacre headlines the 10:00 p.m. slot with their signature blend of high-tempo classics spanning decades. From 1970s disco to 2000s pop-punk, they specialize in one thing: getting you on your feet and keeping you there.
Delta Wires
The weekend wraps with the blues—and a blast of brass—on Sunday, Oct. 5, during the Powerhouse of Blues series. Taking the stage at 3:00 p.m. is Delta Wires, a horn-powered blues collective from the Bay Area that’s been igniting stages for over three decades. Known for their powerhouse arrangements, tight rhythm section, and searing guitar and harmonica leads, the group fuses traditional Mississippi Delta roots with a modern big-band energy. A past finalist at the International Blues Challenge and inductee into the California Blues Hall of Fame, Delta Wires is a must-see for any serious music fan.
All shows at Powerhouse Pub are for guests 21 and over. Seating is first come, first served. Free parking is available in the nearby Leidesdorff Street parking garage, and a complimentary shuttle is offered from the garage to the venue. Powerhouse Pub is located at 614 Sutter St., in the heart of Historic Folsom.
