Gold Country band returns to Historic Folsom with special guest Cast Iron Shoes

A high-octane blend of country grit and punk rock energy will fill the historic Folsom Hotel Saloon on Friday, Feb. 6, as Outlaws in the Golden State return to the stage with special guest Cast Iron Shoes.

Based in the foothills of California’s Gold Country, Outlaws in the Golden State have carved out a distinctive sound they describe as “punktry,” fusing twang-heavy country storytelling with the raw drive and attitude of punk rock. The result is a fast-paced, unapologetic live show that has earned the band a loyal following across Northern California’s live music circuit.

The group has become a familiar name at regional venues and festivals, regularly drawing crowds with original material that reflects both their rural roots and their high-energy edge. Songs such as Highway 65 and Not a Cowboy showcase that balance, pairing country themes with punchy rhythms and anthemic hooks designed for live settings. On stage, the band leans fully into that contrast, delivering performances that are as much about energy and connection as they are about musicianship.

Friday’s show continues the band’s strong relationship with the Folsom Hotel Saloon, a venue that has long served as a home base for Northern California artists. Established in 1885, the Folsom Hotel sits at the center of the Folsom Historic District and blends Old West character with a modern live music atmosphere. Its intimate setting has made it a favorite stop for both local and touring acts, offering audiences a close-up concert experience that amplifies the intensity of high-energy performances like those Outlaws in the Golden State are known for.

Joining the lineup is Cast Iron Shoes, adding depth to the evening with a complementary sound that rounds out a night built for fans of roots-driven rock, country, and punk-influenced Americana.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, with the show beginning at 7 p.m. at the Folsom Hotel Saloon, located at 703 Sutter St. The show is open to all ages. General admission tickets are available in advance for $15.10 at www.folsomhotelsaloon.com.
