The laid-back rhythms of reggae, the aroma of festival food and the spirit of community giving will once again take over Digger and Sharon Williams Rodeo Park this spring as the 3rd Annual Friends of Folsom Framily Festival returns on Friday, April 25.
Presented by the local nonprofit Friends of Folsom in partnership with Garden Groove, the all-day celebration has quickly grown into the region’s premier reggae-inspired community gathering. The event runs from noon until 10 p.m., bringing together music lovers, families and supporters of local charitable causes for a day built around the festival’s motto of “good vibes, good music and good people.”
Now in its third year, the Framily Festival has evolved into what organizers call Folsom’s first and only reggae music festival, delivering a full lineup of performers that will keep the stage energized throughout the day while creating a laid-back California festival atmosphere.
Headlining this year’s festival is internationally recognized reggae artist Pato Banton, whose uplifting message and unmistakable sound have made him a favorite among reggae fans worldwide. Known for his energetic stage presence and positive lyrics, Banton rose to international fame in the 1990s with hits such as Baby Come Back and has spent decades touring globally while promoting a message of unity, positivity and spiritual awareness through reggae music.

Joining him on stage will be Sacramento-area reggae powerhouse Arden Park Roots, one of Northern California’s most recognizable reggae and rock fusion bands. The group has built a loyal regional following through high-energy live performances, blending reggae rhythms with rock, hip-hop and alternative influences that keep crowds moving throughout their sets.
The festival lineup also features Lot 49, a Sacramento-based reggae band known for its smooth island grooves and roots-inspired sound that draws from classic reggae traditions while adding a modern California twist. Their relaxed style and melodic rhythms make them a perfect fit for the laid-back festival atmosphere.
Local favorites Garden Groove, a Sublime tribute act and one of the festival’s presenting partners, will also take the stage, delivering a set inspired by the iconic Southern California ska-punk and reggae sound popularized by the legendary band Sublime.
Also performing is Eazy Dub, a Sacramento-area reggae band recognized for its upbeat rhythms and positive energy, along with Skinny Hendrix, whose reggae and rock fusion style has earned the band a growing following across Northern California venues and festivals.
Rounding out the lineup are The Bennys, bringing their own blend of reggae and alternative sounds to the stage as part of a daylong music schedule that will keep performances flowing from noon until the evening headliner.

Organizers say the event continues to grow each year as more people discover the unique “framily” atmosphere — a term Friends of Folsom uses to describe the blending of friends and family into one welcoming community.
Beyond the music, the festival will offer a wide variety of attractions throughout Rodeo Park. Guests can enjoy ice-cold beer, a lineup of food vendors and trucks, and a variety of local vendor booths offering merchandise, crafts and festival fare. Activities and games designed for all ages will also be part of the day’s entertainment, making the event welcoming for families as well as music fans.
For those looking to elevate their festival experience, a VIP area will also be available, providing an upgraded way to enjoy the performances and festivities.
While the music and entertainment are the main attraction, the Framily Festival is also rooted in a deeper purpose. Proceeds from the event support the charitable efforts of Friends of Folsom, a nonprofit known locally for its fundraising initiatives that help families and community organizations throughout the region.

Through events like the Framily Festival, the organization raises funds for local programs that address hunger, support underprivileged children and assist families in need throughout the year. Their work is perhaps best known through community efforts such as holiday meal drives and volunteer support for regional events that ultimately funnel resources back into the community.
Festival organizers emphasize that every ticket purchased and every vendor interaction helps fuel those efforts.
“This isn’t just a festival — it’s a movement fueled by music and heart,” Friends of Folsom organizers cite.
Guests attending the festival are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, hats and sunscreen to enjoy the full day of entertainment comfortably. Sealed water bottles, small backpacks, handheld umbrellas under 20 inches and strollers are also permitted inside the venue.
Certain items will not be allowed into the festival grounds, including EZ-Up tents, glass containers, outside food or drinks, coolers, drones, animals, weapons, silly string, cigarettes and smoking products, according to event organizers.
Digger and Sharon Williams Rodeo Park is located at 200 Stafford St. in Folsom, behind the Folsom Public Library. Admission tickets are $45 and grant access to all performances throughout the day. Tickets are available online at www.friendsoffolsom.org.
As the Framily Festival enters its third year, organizers are hoping to build on the strong community turnout of previous events and continue expanding what has become one of Folsom’s most unique music and charity gatherings.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring their friends, their families and their best festival energy for a full day of reggae rhythms and community celebration.
