Peach-themed event brings growers, local vendors, live music and family activities together for free family fun
California’s peach harvest will be in the spotlight next month as the Folsom Community Farmers Market hosts its annual “Peaches at the Market” celebration, bringing together local growers, artisan vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities for a special day at Palladio.
The event takes place Saturday, Aug. 8, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Folsom Community Farmers Market, located at 440 Palladio Parkway.
More than 100 local vendors are expected to participate, including California peach growers offering fresh-picked peaches alongside a wide selection of other seasonal fruits and vegetables. Visitors will also find peach-inspired baked goods, gourmet foods and specialty products created by local businesses, adding a seasonal twist to the market’s regular lineup of vendors.
Live music will be provided throughout the day by Steady Eddy and the Shakers as shoppers browse the market and enjoy the day’s activities.
Families will find plenty for younger visitors as well, with a Kids Corner featuring games and activities, along with a dedicated area designed specifically for toddlers ages 4 and younger.
The event will also feature free hourly cakewalks, giving attendees opportunities to win peach cakes and pies throughout the day, as well as peach-themed contests celebrating one of California’s signature summer fruits.
Beyond the peach-themed festivities, the event highlights the farmers who grow the region’s produce while showcasing the local artisans, food vendors and small businesses that make up the weekly market.
Held during the height of California’s peach season, the celebration offers visitors an opportunity to shop directly from growers, discover locally made products and enjoy a summer morning at one of Folsom’s busiest community gathering places.
Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend. The Folsom Community Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 440 Palladio Parkway.
