After much success with their El Dorado Hills location, a local couple has expanded their bagel baking business to Folsom. Big Apple Bagels officially opened its doors today.

Located at Commonwealth Square, 711 East Bidwell, is now open in Folsom, California. Owner operator Scott & Stacy Walters are excited to open Big Apple Bagels® in Folsom.  This is the second location in the area. The Walters also own Big Apple Bagels in El Dorado Hills which has been in the community for over 8 years.

In honor of our opening, now through March 9th, the Folsom location will donate a dozen bagels to Dream Catchers EDH for every dozen bagels sold.

Dream Catchers EDH is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their mission is to empower them to lead fulfilling lives by fostering growth in character, health, social connections, and independence.

Big Apple Bagels is a cozy and comfortable bakery café and deli. Unique within the industry, it is one of the few restaurant concepts that bakes its bagels fresh daily on the premises. Stacy Walters, one of the owner-operators family owned franchise, Smithers Foods LLC, commented about their new Big Apple Bagel,“When we began our journey in El Dorado Hills we knew that it was important to us to provide a product that we believe in. We are beyond excited to open our second location in our hometown of Folsom.”
